01 / The Process
Surface grinding passes a precision abrasive wheel across the workpiece to produce flat, parallel, or angled surfaces with tolerances and finishes that milling alone cannot reach. Because grinding removes material in very small increments, it holds size and geometry even on parts that have already been heat treated.
That makes it the standard route for hardened tool steel, wear surfaces, and any datum face that downstream operations will reference. We grind soft and hardened material, and we regularly finish parts after heat treat to bring them back to final size.

A part that is not flat does not seal, does not sit square, and does not stay torqued.
Flatness and finish control how a surface mates, seals, and carries load. A ground datum face also anchors every measurement that follows, so the accuracy of the whole part often traces back to the quality of one ground surface.
